Acupuncture involves the insertion of fine needles into the body's natural energy channels.

Why is Acupuncture good for Injury Rehabilitation?

Acupuncture stimulates the body's own healing response by working on the energy channels that run in meridians beneath the skin. By strengthening depleted energies, moving blockages, and stimulating blood flow and lymphatic drainage in an area of trauma, acupuncture promotes healing and can effectively decrease swelling, inflammation or pain, whilst also helping to improve mobility.

Acupuncture can be effective during any of the phases of injury or rehabilitation whether it be sports related, work related, post surgical or from other life events.

Some of the injuries more commonly treated with acupuncture include:

  • Muscle strain
  • Neck pain
  • Sciatica
  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
  • Tennis/Golfer's elbow
  • Bursitis
  • Back pain
  • Runner's knee
  • RSIs
  • Shoulder impingement
  • Ankle sprains
